Pixlr!

Pixlr (no, not pixiv) and Pixlr-o-matic are lifesavers when you do an MMD picture and want it to look better without buying photoshop or using phototshop. This is a picture I did on MMD with Miku holding the camera. I used fisheye effect with MME. It was supposed to be an old picture of somebody's girlfriend. But it didn't look any bit convincing. This is where Pixlr came in. Pixlr, located at Pixlr.com, is a free photo editing site. It's like Picnic, but it hasn't closed down. So I loaded up the picture and made a COPY of the layer. I then applied a layer mask to layer 1 and used Gaussian blur. I then used blur on that layer and put in a black background. I removed the layer mask from layer 1, and ta-da!... Still not convincing. This is where I use Pixlr-o-matic. I go to Pixlr.com/o-matic and open my picture up, as usual. I scroll through the various image filters until I find the perfect one. Then I re-look, just to be sure. I then move to the next step- adding more stuff to it to make it look old. This time I used 'scratches', but sometimes I do 'paint', 'focal', or 'divine'. Usually I decide to move on and do a frame, so I do. This time, I don't like that look, so I skip step 3 and move on to saving. I save it as mmdpic3- this is the third version- and close the Pixlr tab. My work is done.

A lesson in MME or: Why to never hit a force field.

This is why we never run at force fields. On request from my bestie, I made a video of Miku showing us what happens when we hit (are thrown at) a force field. Sorry Miku! *Miku punches me* I only needed to take a request! Miku is currently in the mmd hospital for things similar to 'get down'. (If you haven't seen get down it's here). But now that you know about the force field incident, yes, I threw her at it, we can talk science- err, mme. Have you seen the Self Lightening effect? This is a tutorial, plus a download page. If you only follow these steps you get  something creepy. SO! You don't just put an effect on your model. Do the lightening. Okay, load up lightening.x in the accessory thing, then open up mme. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BLACK BACKGROUND FOR LIGHTENING! On mme, don't load anything. Go to the second tab and load SavePos on your model. Then go to the third tab and load Mask. If you have any problems, I'll help!

Adult Shader!

Hello world of MMD-ers! It's me, Shiny! Today we will learn about the wonders, and horrors, of Adult Shader. It is a great MME effect you can use in a pinch! Adult shader is a shading effect to make the models look better, more 3d, you know? If you use it on LAT models it makes them look severly aged, as you can see here. Here's a link to Adult Shader Mediafire download as a .zip file... http://www.mediafire.com/?54g9j8ehx6z0t9d Adult shader looks really good on other models, like Nanami Teto. The whole "bad LAT" thing is probrably because of something with her awkward face modeling. So yeah, there you go,
